Senior Data Engineer - AWS - Hybrid Remote

About The Role We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a long-term project, contributing to the design, development, and optimization of data solutions that support business needs. We are looking for a hands-on professional with solid experience in data engineering, ETL processes, and multiple technologies, who can bring technical expertise, share knowledge, and deliver value to the team. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with a business-oriented mindset, enjoys working closely with stakeholders, and is interested in exploring AI and automation opportunities to improve data processes. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes. - Build and manage scalable data solutions using Python, Databricks, AWS, and Azure. - Ensure data quality, consistency, reliability, and performance across data workflows. - Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions. - Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver actionable insights. - Support the development and maintenance of Power BI reports and dashboards. - Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve data engineering workflows. - Explore and contribute to the adoption of AI-driven solutions and innovative technologies. - Troubleshoot technical issues and continuously improve existing data architectures and processes. - Share technical knowledge and contribute to best practices within the team. Requirements - Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer or in a similar hands-on data engineering role. - Strong experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines. - Solid programming skills in Python. - Experience working with Databricks and cloud platforms, particularly AWS and/or Azure. - Experience with Power BI, including data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development. - Strong understanding of data modelling, data integration, and data quality principles. - Ability to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions. - Experience communicating and collaborating with business stakeholders. - A proactive, analytical, and problem-solving mindset. - Interest in AI, automation, and emerging technologies. - Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team. Nice to Have - Background in Business Analysis (BA). - Experience working across different data engineering technologies and cloud environments. - Experience identifying opportunities for process automation and operational efficiency. - Familiarity with AI-driven data solutions.
