Position: Software Engineer (Security) Location: Lisbon (Hybrid) | Portugal Responsibilities • Manage and maintain security tooling across the software development lifecycle and software supply chain (Black Duck SCA, Black Duck Polaris Platform, SonarQube) • Develop cloud‑native backend microservices powering global applications • Build high‑performance APIs and event‑driven architectures • Contribute to architecture decisions and secure design discussions • Identify, analyze, and prioritize vulnerabilities and threats across applications, services, and cloud environments • Apply structured threat modeling methodologies (STRIDE, PASTA) to assess risks and propose mitigation strategies • Recommend and implement security controls to improve the organization’s security posture • Work closely with cross‑functional teams (Product, DevOps, Cloud, Architecture) in an agile environment • Collaborate with Developers and Product Managers to define secure coding standards, secure architectures, and application security best practices • Support secure SDLC processes, including SAST, SCA, DAST, and CI/CD security integration • Participate in discussions with stakeholders to align security requirements with business needs Qualifications • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience • 3+ years of backend development experience • Strong knowledge of object‑oriented programming and software design • Experience designing scalable APIs and distributed systems • Experience with cloud environments and containerized applications • Experience in Application Security or DevSecOps practices • Comfortable working in international, English‑speaking teams • Experience working with design systems is a plus Equal Opportunity: GBT Solutions is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity.
