This role sits in the Hyperswitch team. Hyperswitch is Juspay's open-source, composable payments platform: enterprises pick the modules they need, from orchestration and routing to authentication, vault, reconciliation and revenue recovery, and run it as a cloud service or self-host it on AWS, GCP or Azure. It serves enterprise retail, travel, gaming and crypto merchants across the US, Europe and South Africa. Role Summary We are hiring a Solutions Engineer / Delivery Lead to take enterprise merchants from signed contract to live on Hyperswitch, and to keep them successful after go-live. The role combines two jobs: the technical lead who designs and debugs the integration, and the project manager who runs the plan and the relationship. You will lead technical conversations with merchant engineers and senior stakeholders without needing product in the room, and you will own each project's timeline, scope and risks through to a stable production service. Key Responsibilities Solutioning and Integration - Run technical discovery with new merchants and design the target solution: payment flows, processors, payment methods, fraud tools and routing rules - Produce and maintain the joint solution document with each merchant, covering scope, phasing, architecture decisions, risks and open questions - Guide merchant engineers through integration of APIs, SDKs, webhooks and connectors, and through self-hosted deployments on AWS, GCP or Azure - Debug integration and production issues using logs (Grafana, Elasticsearch) and the Hyperswitch codebase, raising clear, reproducible issues to product and engineering only when needed - Scope new connector and feature requests and feed them into the product roadmap Project delivery - Own the delivery plan for each merchant from kick-off to go-live: milestones, dependencies, testing, certification and launch - Run weekly syncs and steering updates with merchant stakeholders; track actions, risks and decisions - Manage several merchant projects in parallel and keep scope tied to the agreed MVP (minimum viable product) and phasing - Coordinate third parties such as PSPs, fraud partners and the merchant's own technology providers Post go-live and growth - Hand over cleanly to the support team and remain the escalation point for your merchants - Monitor performance after launch (authorisation rates, latency, errors) and recommend improvements such as new processors, payment methods or routing changes - Help build the European merchant-success function: playbooks, documentation and onboarding of new team members - Take part in an out-of-hours escalation rota to meet European enterprise SLAs Requirements Essential - 4 or more years in a technical, customer-facing role such as solutions engineer, integration engineer, technical account manager or forward deployed engineer - Hands-on online payments experience: gateways, PSPs, acquirers, authorisation and capture, refunds, chargebacks, 3DS and tokenisation, or payment orchestration (integrating several PSPs for one merchant) - Strong with REST APIs, webhooks and JSON, and able to read Grafana and Elasticsearch logs - Comfortable navigating a production codebase, Rust included - Experience with AWS, GCP or Azure, to support merchants self-hosting Hyperswitch - Proven track record running customer projects end to end: planning, status reporting, risk and scope management - Able to lead technical conversations with merchant engineers and senior stakeholders without product in the room Desirable - Experience at a payment orchestration platform, PSP or acquirer - Knowledge of alternative payment methods (Apple Pay, Google Pay, open banking, Wero) and fraud tooling - Contributions to, or experience with, open-source software - Experience supporting European enterprise merchants with strict SLA and 24/7 support expectations - Commercial awareness; commercial skills can be developed in the role Why join Juspay? - Impact at scale: be part of a mature, profitable fintech leader with a proven track record of powering some of the world's largest enterprises - Global growth: play a foundational role in building our European merchant team, shaping the future of payments in Europe and beyond - Career development: thrive in a flat, merit-based structure that rewards initiative, creativity and results Perks - Competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance and pension contributions - Hands-on work with an open-source platform and some of Europe's most demanding merchants - A dynamic and collaborative work environment
