Description
As Transmission System Operator, EirGrid is at the heart of Ireland’s electricity system, ensuring that power flows safely and reliably from where it is generated to where it is needed. EirGrid manages the real-time operation of the power system and oversees the wholesale electricity market, balancing supply and demand every second of the day. We strengthen system resilience through the development and operation of interconnectors to other countries and are also responsible for planning and developing the transmission network, investing in necessary upgrades and expansion to meet Ireland’s growing demand and support the transition to a low-carbon future. Our role is expanding significantly to include operating, developing, and owning Ireland’s offshore transmission grid, a critical step in harnessing the potential of offshore wind energy.
The Team
Within the Corporate Services Office, Business Services leads on three critical functional areas of the business — Central PMO and Transformation, Supply Chain, and Facilities and Property — at a pivotal time of ambition, growth and change for EirGrid Group. With the launch of Strategy 2026 and the scale of the programme required to deliver it, Business Services will be central to building the integrated business services model needed to support execution at pace and scale.

- Provide clear portfolio oversight across strategic programmes, ensuring priorities are understood, interdependencies are managed and delivery decisions are supported by high-quality information
- Embed strong programme and portfolio governance, including consistent approaches to planning, milestone tracking, risk and issue management, dependency management, benefit tracking and executive reporting
- Drive delivery discipline across the organisation, providing constructive challenge, escalation and support to programme owners and senior stakeholders
- Develop and maintain an integrated view of the enterprise priorities, including delivery status, capacity constraints, key risks, dependencies, financials and benefits realisation
- Lead prioritisation and sequencing of transformation activity to drive Strategy 2026 execution and organisational performance
- Partner with senior leaders to shape transformation plans, strengthen delivery ownership and ensure change impacts, stakeholder engagement and adoption risks are proactively managed
- Provide leadership to the Central PMO and Transformation team, building capability, accountability and a culture of collaboration, pace and continuous improvement
About You
