Description
UV Medico is hiring a Sales Engineer to bring far-UVC disinfection to pharmaceutical manufacturers around the world. You are a fast learner, know GMP production from the inside, you understand what the revised EU GMP Annex 1 demands of sterile manufacturers, and you can turn that into technical conversations that end in specified and purchased solutions.
About UV Medico
UV Medico A/S is a Danish manufacturer of far-UVC (222 nm) disinfection technology, founded in 2019 and operating under ISO 13485/9001/14001. Our UV222 systems use filtered krypton-chloride excimer lamps (Care222®) to continuously reduce airborne and surface microorganisms in occupied spaces, with more than 13,000 fixtures installed worldwide.
In pharma, our systems support the contamination control strategy (CCS) required by Annex 1, for example in pass-boxes, material transfer areas and cleanroom environments, and in the decontamination of operators entering clean areas with our custom-made solutions. We work with leading pharmaceutical manufacturers and are growing our team to meet demand.
You will be based at our headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark, as part of a small, technical and fast-moving company.
The role
As Sales Engineer you own the technical sales process in the pharmaceutical segment, from first contact with QA, Engineering and Microbiology through specification, validation support and order. You work closely with our distributors, our R&D team and management.
Your responsibilities
- Identify, qualify and develop pharmaceutical and biotech accounts, with focus on sterile and aseptic manufacturing
- Present far-UVC technology to QA, QC microbiology, engineering and validation teams, and answer their technical questions credibly
- Position our solutions within customers' Annex 1 contamination control strategy and risk assessments
- Prepare technical proposals, layouts and documentation packages
- Support customer trials, qualification and validation activities together with our technical team
- Manage the pipeline in our CRM and forecast reliably
- Represent UV Medico at industry events, conferences and customer sites
- Bring structured market feedback to product and marketing
Your profile
You have worked in or close to GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing and know the daily reality of sterile production.
- Degree in engineering, pharmaceutical science, microbiology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Several years in the pharmaceutical or life-science industry, in technical sales, validation, QA, engineering or contamination control
- Solid working knowledge of GMP and of the revised EU GMP Annex 1, including contamination control strategy, cleanroom grades, environmental monitoring, sterility assurance and quality risk management
- Understanding of the challenges sterile manufacturers face: bioburden control, decontamination of materials and operators entering clean areas, and inspection readiness
- Ability to explain technical solutions to QA and engineering audiences and to earn their trust
- Experience with B2B sales cycles involving several stakeholders, or a clear drive to build that experience
- Self-driven, structured and comfortable working independently across countries
- Fluent English; Danish and/or other languages are an advantage
- Willingness to travel internationally
Nice to have
- Experience with UV disinfection, cleanroom decontamination, pass-boxes, personnel and gowning-area decontamination, isolators or RABS
- Familiarity with IEC 62471 photobiological safety and ISO 14644 cleanroom classification
- Experience in CSV/qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) or audit and inspection preparation
- An existing network among pharmaceutical manufacturers, CMOs or cleanroom suppliers
- Experience working with distributors
What we offer
- A key role in a growing market where regulation (Annex 1) creates real demand for our technology
- Technology that is proven in the field and backed by research, clinical studies and international references
- Short decision paths and direct access to management and our technical team
- Freedom to shape the pharma sales approach and to grow with the company
- A competitive salary and benefits package, to be agreed with you
- A professional, international working environment in Aarhus
