Senior Azure Cloud Engineer

Role: Senior Azure Cloud Engineer Location: Utrecht / Amsterdam - Netherlands - Hybrid (2 to 3 Days onsite/week) Type: Full-Time employment only (No contracts) Salary: Negotiable Language: Dutch (Fluent - Mandatory) & English. Mandatory Skills: Azure Infrastructure Cloud using Bicep (ARM-based IaC), CI/CD, Azure DevOps, ARM (Iac), CI/CD Automation. About the Job: Manage and support operations of the platform and application landing zones. Using Azure DevOps and Bicep-based Infrastructure as Code. Implement Azure Cloud services and DevOps best practices across environments. Key Responsibilities: • Manage and operate Azure cloud infrastructure using Bicep (ARM-based IaC) following modular and reusable patterns based on SLA defined operaitons. • Build and manage end-to-end Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments • Implement Infrastructure as Code for staging and production, including validation, testing and controlled releases. • Ensure Azure solutions meet security, reliability and scalability requirements. • Implement monitoring, logging and operational best practices for production workloads. • Collaborate with engineering, security and operations teams for continuous improvement. • Troubleshoot build, release, deployment and platform and application landing zone issues. Key Skills: Must-have Skills: - Advanced Bicep (ARM-based IaC) expertise - Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repos, Service Connections, Boards) - CI/CD automation using YAML pipelines - Microsoft Azure: Virtual networks, file share, ADLS, Azure firewall, management groups, Azure policies, a.o. - PowerShell / Bash scripting. Good To Have Skills: - Kubernetes / AKS - Azure Monitor / Log Analytics - ITSM-aligned service delivery - LLD and SOPs Soft Skills: • Strong ownership and accountability mindset • Excellent written & oral communication skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability • Team player in a collaborative DevOps environment • Continuous improvement and automation-driven mindset
