Senior AI/ML Engineer – Applied AI Lead We are working with a global, fast-growing company seeking an experienced Senior AI/ML Engineer – Applied AI Lead to join its team. This is an exciting opportunity for an AI/ML professional who can take machine learning solutions from development to production, establish reliable MLOps practices, and lead the delivery of AI solutions that generate measurable business impact. Position Details Position: Senior AI/ML Engineer – Applied AI Lead Locations: Tallinn, Estonia / Limassol, Cyprus / Warsaw, Poland Work Model: On-site in Tallinn and Limassol; Hybrid in Warsaw Employment Type: Full-time Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, deploy, and maintain machine learning models throughout their lifecycle, from training and validation to monitoring and retraining. - Lead the delivery of applied AI solutions, including customer lifetime value prediction, churn prevention, and fraud or abuse detection. - Establish and improve MLOps practices, including deployment pipelines, CI/CD workflows, environment promotion, and model lifecycle management. - Develop monitoring frameworks to track model performance, data quality, data drift, and business impact. - Define retraining procedures and escalation strategies to maintain the reliability and effectiveness of production models. - Implement model explainability and transparency using SHAP, feature attribution, and other suitable interpretability techniques. - Establish best practices for model governance, documentation, version control, and auditability. - Collaborate with Data Engineering teams on data pipelines, feature engineering, reproducibility, and scalable data infrastructure. - Work closely with Product, Risk, Commercial, and other business stakeholders to translate business challenges into practical AI/ML solutions. - Identify opportunities for continuous improvement through monitoring insights, feedback loops, and model optimisation. - Mentor team members and promote best practices in applied machine learning, production AI, and MLOps. Requirements - 5–8+ years of experience building, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models in production environments. - Strong Python programming skills and a solid foundation in software engineering. - Good understanding of machine learning principles, model evaluation, and feature engineering. - Practical experience addressing production ML challenges, including data leakage, model drift, and model stability. - Hands-on experience with Spark/PySpark and large-scale data processing. - Experience with MLflow or similar tools for machine learning lifecycle management. - Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions. - Strong SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets. - Demonstrated ability to deliver AI/ML solutions with measurable business outcomes. - Experience with model deployment, performance monitoring, drift detection, and retraining strategies. - Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Ability to balance rapid MVP delivery with long-term reliability, scalability, and production readiness.
