The role covers high-throughput Go services and security-critical Rust components, with no direct reports. 📋 Responsibilities include: - Design high-throughput, low-latency services, APIs, and data pipelines in Go and Rust - Own production Go and Rust components: architecture, concurrency, testing, observability, and deployment - Architect systems that ingest, process, validate, and serve blockchain data with strong consistency and availability - Own work end to end, from requirements through incident response, profiling, and continuous improvement - Debug failures across services, databases, networks, and nodes, and review security risks 🔑 Requirements / Must-have: - 8+ years in software engineering, including high-scale backend or distributed systems - Advanced Go and Rust, with production software shipped in each. Both languages are required - Deep knowledge of distributed systems, concurrency, memory safety, databases, and networking - Blockchain, RPC, high-throughput API, or streaming-pipeline experience - Secure design, threat modeling, and ability to lead ambiguous cross-team projects 🛠 Nice-to-have / Preferred: - Ethereum, Solana, or other protocol node, RPC, or indexing experience - Go-to-Rust interfaces; wallet, signing, or custody systems - Kafka, queues, distributed databases, or large-scale observability 💡 Perks & Benefits: - Competitive pay, fair compensation, and open salary discussion during hiring - Competitive benefits; path toward Staff or Principal scope 🌍 Location & Time Zone: - Remote in Portugal and the United States.
