Senior Financial Accountant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant based in Australia. This is a senior accounting role within a rapidly scaling SaaS environment, focused on maintaining accurate, reliable, and audit-ready financial records. You will take ownership of revenue recognition, core month-end journals, reconciliations, and the overall close process across multiple entities. The role combines hands-on technical accounting with process improvement, data quality, tax and audit support, and team leadership. You will be a key accounting partner to finance, tax, compliance, business intelligence, and external audit stakeholders. A strong emphasis is placed on sound accounting judgment, particularly around revenue recognition, and on building scalable processes that can support continued growth. You will also lead a small offshore finance team, setting quality standards, developing capability, and ensuring consistent execution across time zones.
