🚀 Principal DevOps Engineer | AWS / EKS / Terraform | Kraków

Build the platform before the first production workload lands. We’re building a new gaming platform from scratch and looking for a Principal DevOps Engineer to own the technical foundation behind it. This isn’t a role where you inherit years of legacy infrastructure. You’ll design the AWS architecture, build the Kubernetes platform, define how software gets shipped, and create the standards that engineering teams will use as we scale to millions of players and sportsbook-level traffic peaks. The platform needs the reliability, security and auditability of a regulated, money-moving system. What you’ll own ☁️ AWS foundation — multi-account architecture, landing zone, networking, IAM and cost governance ⚙️ Kubernetes platform — build and operate Amazon EKS with autoscaling for live-betting traffic spikes and multi-AZ resilience 🏗️ Infrastructure as Code — Terraform-first infrastructure with GitOps using Argo CD or similar 🚀 Developer platform & CI/CD — create paved roads that engineering teams actually want to use 📊 Observability & reliability — Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, SLOs and error budgets 🔥 Production readiness — on-call practices, incident response, load testing, chaos testing and blameless postmortems 🔄 Platform migration — lead the infrastructure side of moving away from our current third-party platform 🔐 Compliance by design — audit trails, environment segregation, backup and disaster recovery suitable for gaming regulators 🧠 Technical leadership — mentor engineers and help shape how we use AI-assisted development tooling What we’re looking for • 10+ years in DevOps, Platform or Infrastructure Engineering • 3+ years operating at Staff / Principal level • Deep hands-on AWS: EKS, RDS/Aurora, VPC, Transit Gateway, IAM, multi-account environments • Expert-level Terraform • Strong Kubernetes day-2 operational experience • Proven experience building CI/CD and internal developer platforms • Experience operating highly available systems with significant traffic spikes • Strong incident management and production-readiness experience • Python, Go or Bash scripting • Backup and DR architecture for systems where data loss is not acceptable • Excellent English • Ability to work from our Kraków office at least 3 days per week Big plus AWS Solutions Architect Professional / DevOps Engineer Professional certification, and experience in iGaming, fintech, payments or another regulated high-availability environment.
