Senior Machine Learning Engineer Hybrid | Ireland Permanent | Competitive Package and Benefits An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join an established global organisation in the healthcare sector, driving innovation through the design and development of new AI/ML solutions. The role goes beyond existing models, offering the opportunity to explore new approaches and turn emerging technologies into real-world applications, with a focus on deep learning, LLMs, Agentic AI, and scalable cloud infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborating with data scientists, domain experts, and key stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements and scalable AI/ML solutions. - Build and maintain automated workflows covering data preparation, model development, testing, and production deployment. - Develop and integrate deep learning, LLM, and Agentic AI capabilities into real-world applications. - Engineer scalable environments for model training and inference across cloud and on-premises infrastructure. - Establish monitoring and evaluation processes to track model performance, detect degradation, and improve reliability. - Embed data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance into AI/ML development and deployment, particularly within healthcare environments. Required Skills & Experience: - A Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least five years of relevant professional experience. - Practical experience developing end-to-end machine learning solutions, covering data ingestion, model training, evaluation, and deployment. - Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, preferably AWS. - Experience working with large-scale data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark and Hadoop. - Hands-on experience deploying scalable machine learning models using Docker and Kubernetes. - Strong software engineering skills, including Git, unit and integration testing, maintainable code development, and CI/CD practices. - Strong understanding of machine learning methods and model development. - Experience integrating LLMs and Agentic AI into production applications.
