Description

Java Developer - Mid-Level Backend Development + Microservices We are looking for a Mid Java Developer to build and modernise backend systems in a microservices environment for enterprise clients. You will join a team of developers, analysts, testers and DevOps engineers who have delivered together for years, working on systems at the core of our clients' operations. What you will do You will develop and maintain Java applications, design backend solutions within a microservices architecture, and integrate internal and external systems through REST APIs. A good part of the work is modernisation: upgrading services to current Java versions, replacing outdated components, improving existing code and adding new features along the way. You will work day to day with analysts, testers and DevOps engineers in an Agile/Scrum setup, and use AI tools as part of your everyday engineering. We are looking for someone who - Has 2–4 years of commercial experience in Java development. - Is highly proficient in Spring Boot and has hands-on experience with Spring Cloud. - Has designed and built backend services within a microservices architecture. - Has worked with legacy code and understands what it takes to modernise it safely. Experience migrating between Java versions (e.g. Java 8 to Java 17) is a strong plus. - Understands asynchronous communication and message brokers. Experience with ActiveMQ or RabbitMQ is welcome. - Has integrated internal and external systems using REST APIs. - Has practical experience with Oracle or other relational databases, including writing and optimising SQL queries. - Works with Docker and Kubernetes in day-to-day development and deployment. - Cares about code quality and performance, and is comfortable optimising existing code as well as delivering new features. - Uses Git and is familiar with CI/CD practices. - Has worked in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborates easily with analysts, testers and DevOps engineers. - Is open to using AI tools in daily work to speed up development, analysis and testing. - Familiarity with Camunda, Angular or React with TypeScript, or integrating banking systems is a plus. - Communicates fluently in Polish and English. What we do not expect You do not need to tick every box on the list above. Camunda, frontend work and banking integrations are a plus, and if you have not migrated between Java versions yet, you can pick it up with the team. You also do not need to be a Kubernetes administrator. You will use Docker and Kubernetes as a developer, alongside DevOps engineers on the team. Openness to AI tools is enough; no machine learning background is required. What we offer - Competitive salary and benefits package. - Flexible working hours and remote work options. - Licenses for advanced AI tools. - A supportive team that has delivered together for years. - Professional growth on enterprise-scale projects. Sounds interesting? Send us your CV and a few words about the backend systems you have worked on and what you would like to work on next.
