Platform Engineer

Job description: We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to join our engineering team and help build, automate, monitor, and support reliable Azure-based platforms and data workflows. Key Responsibilities - Automate operational processes using Unix, Bash scripting, and Azure services. - Build and maintain Azure Data Factory workflows and data integrations. - Work with PostgreSQL for SQL development, troubleshooting, and operational support. - Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitLab. - Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents across distributed applications. - Improve platform reliability through observability, automation, resilient design, and production-readiness practices. - Diagnose root causes and implement long-term solutions to recurring operational issues. - Deliver secure, scalable, maintainable, and compliant solutions. - Leverage AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation where appropriate. Mandatory Skills - PostgreSQL – strong SQL, troubleshooting & operational support - Unix/Linux & Bash scripting - Azure Data Factory (ADF) - DevOps & CI/CD - GitLab – source control and pipelines - Elasticsearch and/or Cloudera - Strong troubleshooting and automation experience Nice to Have - Java development experience - Experience with AI-assisted coding/development tools - Experience working with distributed applications and cloud-based platforms Location: Wroclaw, Poland Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days/week from office Experience: 6+ years Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree
