DevOps Engineer

Client Our client is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join their engineering team on a 12-month contract. This is a hands-on role focused on building and improving deployment platforms, automation, CI/CD and container-based environments. Responsibilities: • Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions. • Develop automation scripts using Python and Bash. • Build and support containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes. • Support the migration of existing applications and services to Kubernetes. • Implement monitoring, dashboards and alerting using Grafana or similar observability tools. • Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform. • Work closely with development teams to improve deployment workflows and DevOps processes. • Support and maintain Jenkins infrastructure, including servers, agents, backups and monitoring. Requirements: • 5+ years' experience as a DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer or Cloud Engineer. • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container-based workloads. • Experience delivering container migration projects. • Strong CI/CD experience with Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions. • Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code. • Strong scripting skills using Python and Bash. • Experience with Docker and container management. • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana. • Good understanding of security best practices across CI/CD pipelines and microservices. • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an Agile environment.
