Principal Systems Engineer

We’re hiring: Principal Systems Engineer Are you an experienced Systems Engineer looking to play a leading role in the development of advanced avionics systems and equipment? Mercury is looking for a Principal Systems Engineer to take technical responsibility for system-level specifications, architecture and the detailed design of computing solutions. You’ll contribute throughout the full project lifecycle, from initial specification and bid activity through to verification, qualification, certification and production transition. In this role, you will: - Define system requirements, architecture and detailed designs - Analyse customer specifications and translate them into clear internal requirements - Support system integration, validation, verification and qualification - Act as a technical authority during project delivery - Produce the technical evidence, assessments and documentation required by each project - Support customer discussions, project reviews and certification milestones - Estimate, plan and report on systems engineering activities - Contribute technical expertise to RFI and RFP activities - Manage defined supplier work packages - Support related areas including software development, embedded video and system verification We’re looking for someone with strong expertise in systems engineering, together with relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: ✅ Software development ✅ Embedded video ✅ System verification ✅ Avionics systems or equipment development Interested in joining us?
