Senior Azure Consultant

We are partnering with an established and growing technology services organisation to recruit a Senior Azure Consultant to join its expanding cloud practice. Our client delivers a broad range of technology services, including cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, digital transformation and business applications, supporting organisations across multiple sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Azure professional to take a leading role in customer cloud transformation projects, combining solution architecture, technical delivery, stakeholder engagement and pre-sales consultancy. The Role As Senior Azure Consultant, you will work closely with customers and internal technical and commercial teams to design, scope and deliver secure, scalable and cost-effective Microsoft Azure solutions. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, guiding customers through cloud adoption and modernisation while leading project delivery and contributing to the ongoing development of the cloud services practice. Key Responsibilities - Lead customer discovery sessions, workshops and technical consultations around Azure architecture and cloud strategy. - Design cloud solutions, architectural roadmaps and implementation plans aligned with business requirements. - Support pre-sales activities, including technical presentations, demonstrations, tender responses, Statements of Work, project scoping and effort estimation. - Lead the technical delivery and governance of Azure implementation and migration projects. - Design and implement Azure infrastructure, networking, hybrid cloud and Microsoft Entra ID solutions. - Deliver cloud security, governance, monitoring, backup, disaster recovery and migration solutions. - Apply Infrastructure as Code, Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework principles and FinOps practices. - Develop reusable architecture patterns, technical documentation and delivery standards. - Mentor engineers and consultants while contributing to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. Experience and Qualifications - A third-level qualification in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline. - At least five years' experience delivering Azure solutions within a consultancy, systems integrator or managed technology services environment. - Proven experience leading customer-facing Azure projects and designing enterprise-scale cloud architectures. - Strong technical consulting, communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills. - Experience supporting pre-sales engagements and technical proposals. - Knowledge of cloud migration, modernisation and cloud operating models. - Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104). - Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305). Desirable Skills - Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500). - Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700). - Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100). - Experience developing cloud service offerings, technical frameworks and reusable architecture assets.
