Description

ABOUT US We’re building the next generation of the TV operating system, reimagining the experience at the intersection of television, streaming, and how people discover and search. THE ROLE We’re looking for a Product Designer who thinks in systems, questions assumptions, and can solve problems that don’t have an established answer. This is a hands-on role spanning product thinking, interaction design, and visual design. You’ll help define the structure and behavior of our TV operating system, where AI is woven throughout the experience, taking ideas from early concepts and user flows through prototypes, polished interfaces, and implementation. You should be as comfortable thinking about the big picture as you are getting deep into the details. One day, you might define how a new product experience should work; the next, you might prototype an interaction, refine elements of our design system, or test a concept with users. You’ll report to our Head of Design and collaborate closely with the founder, engineers, and marketing team. Beyond making excellent work, you’ll help define what great design looks like and contribute to a culture where design is central to how we build. WHAT YOU’LL DO - Own product design from early exploration and user flows through interaction design, prototyping, final UI, and implementation support - Help define the right problems to solve, balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints - Shape core experiences across our TV operating system - Design for the realities of TV, with clear hierarchy, readable interfaces, and thoughtful voice first remote navigation and focus states - Build interactive prototypes to explore product behavior, communicate ideas, and test assumptions before development - Use research, usability testing, product data, and feedback to inform decisions and improve experiences - Evolve our design system, creating reusable components and patterns that help the team move quickly without lowering the bar - Partner closely with engineers throughout development, working through edge cases and ensuring the shipped experience reflects the design intent - Help shape our emerging design culture, standards, and creative point of view YOU - 5+ years of experience - Have a portfolio demonstrating strong product thinking, visual craft, and thoughtful interaction design - Have experience designing and shipping products, at a startup, agency, or similarly fast-moving environment - Can turn complex or loosely defined problems into clear, intuitive experiences - Have a strong command of typography, composition, color, layout, and visual hierarchy - Think beyond individual screens to consider complete journeys, interaction patterns, accessibility, and edge cases - Are proficient in Figma and comfortable working with tokens, components, design systems - Have strong instincts but welcome feedback, evidence, and better ideas - Are autonomous and comfortable making progress when the path is not fully defined NICE TO HAVE - Experience designing for TV, streaming, connected devices, or remote-based interfaces - Experience designing conversational, voice-driven, or AI-powered product experiences - Strong motion design skills and an understanding of how animation can clarify product behavior and create delight - Experience building a product or design system from an early stage - Familiarity with front-end development or code-based prototyping - An interest in exploring new creative tools and workflows, including AI, while maintaining a high standard of original craft
