They are now appointing a Project Director to lead significant design & build infrastructure work and help shape the delivery of projects with lasting public impact. Working Environment & Projects This is a senior leadership role within a collaborative, people-focused organisation that values technical expertise and accountable leadership. You will be supported by experienced colleagues and specialist teams across the wider business, both in Ireland and internationally. Projects are large-scale, complex and highly visible, spanning sectors such as metro, aviation, rail, water and highways. These are multidisciplinary programmes involving design, engineering, commercial and construction teams, often with demanding stakeholder environments and significant public interest. You will lead projects from inception through to completion, with full accountability for delivery across design, commercial, contractual and procurement matters. Working closely with clients, contractors, regulators and public stakeholders, you will play a central role in delivering infrastructure of national importance. Responsibilities - Lead the delivery of major design & build infrastructure programmes from inception to completion - Take overall accountability for programme, cost, quality, safety and client satisfaction - Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams across design, engineering, commercial and construction functions - Oversee commercial and contract management, including procurement strategy, change and risk - Manage relationships with clients, contractors, regulators and public stakeholders at senior level - Ensure sustainability and innovation are embedded in design and delivery approaches - Report on project performance to clients and internal leadership - Support business development and the growth of the infrastructure portfolio in Ireland What You Need - Proven record of leading major design & build infrastructure programmes from inception to completion - Experience across metro, aviation, rail, water or highways schemes - Strong leadership across commercial, contract, procurement and stakeholder management - Track record of leading large multidisciplinary teams on complex, high-profile projects - Understanding of Irish public sector procurement and contract forms, such as PWC and NEC, beneficial - Excellent communication and influencing skills at senior client and stakeholder level - Chartered membership of a relevant professional body, such as EI, ICE, APM, IPM, PMI or equivalent What You’ll Get in Return This position offers a salary of up to €150,000, reflecting the seniority and scope of the role.
