Senior AI Engineer | LLMs, AI Agents & Voice AI Location: Bristol, UK Salary: £75,000-£100,000 Type: Permanent, Full-time Pattern: Hybrid (4x on-site) I'm hiring for a growing AI technology business in Bristol. This is a hands-on engineering opportunity where you'll influence architecture, solve complex AI challenges and see your work reach real customers. What you'll be doing - Designing and deploying production-ready LLM applications and autonomous AI agents. - Building agent orchestration, prompt engineering and evaluation frameworks. - Developing voice AI pipelines incorporating speech-to-text, text-to-speech and real-time inference. - Optimising models for reliability, accuracy, latency and cost. - Working with emerging AI technologies, including RAG and multimodal systems. - Shaping technical architecture and mentoring other engineers. - Taking AI solutions from experimentation through to commercial deployment. What we're looking for - Strong software engineering experience with hands-on production AI/ML delivery. - Practical expertise in LLMs, NLP or autonomous AI agents. - Experience building robust, scalable AI applications. - Understanding of AI orchestration and model integration. - Ability to solve complex problems and communicate technical decisions clearly. - Confidence working in an innovative, fast-moving engineering environment. Bonus points for - LangChain, LlamaIndex or RAG experience. - Voice AI, ASR, TTS or real-time conversational systems. - LLM fine-tuning, evaluation or inference optimisation. - Experience building AI products in a startup or commercial R&D environment. - Knowledge of AI compliance and GDPR.
