Description
For our Client, an international manufacturing company that is currently establishing a new IT Competence Center in Kraków, we are looking for a Data Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines and warehouse objects for a new Microsoft Dynamics 365-based data platform, while ensuring the stable operation of legacy data warehouses during the transition period. This position follows a hybrid working model, with 3 days per week from the office in Kraków.
Main tasks & responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines, SQL procedures, views, and data warehouse tables
- Build and enhance data integration solutions supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 and other business applications
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot daily data loads across both new and legacy data platforms
- Implement and maintain data quality checks in cooperation with the Data Governance team
- Support the migration of reports, datasets, and data structures from legacy warehouses to the new platform
- Document data flows, technical solutions, incidents, and operational procedures
- Maintain data dictionaries and runbooks to ensure effective knowledge sharing and platform support
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Data Engineer, Head of Data & Analytics, BI teams, and Application Support teams
- Participate in continuous improvements of data architecture, processes, and monitoring standards
- Support data-related incidents and ensure timely resolution of issues
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or BI Development
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory or another ETL/ELT platform
- Understanding of business and ERP data domains such as finance, sales, procurement, or inventory management
- Experience working with data pipelines, data transformations, and warehouse solutions
- Ability to analyze and resolve data-related issues in a production environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Fluent English
Nice to have:
- Experience with Snowflake
- Basic Python programming skills
- Experience with Power BI datasets and semantic models
- Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, Dynamics 365 CE, or Baan ERP data
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD practices
- Experience working in international and cross-functional environments
