Infrastructure / Cloud Engineer

Infrastructure Cloud Engineer (Up to £55,000 + Benefits) We're looking for an Infrastructure Cloud Engineer to join a growing platform engineering team within a technology-driven organisation that is investing heavily in its cloud estate and modernisation programme. This is an opportunity to work on genuine greenfield infrastructure projects while helping shape the future of a cloud-native platform built in Azure. You'll be joining an established team of Platform Engineers and will play a key role in building, improving and automating cloud infrastructure across multiple environments. The Role You'll be responsible for designing, building and maintaining Azure infrastructure, supporting development teams, and contributing to a long-term programme to consolidate and modernise existing platforms. This role offers plenty of exposure to modern cloud technologies, Infrastructure as Code and platform engineering best practices. Key Responsibilities - Build and maintain Azure infrastructure using Terraform - Create new cloud infrastructure to support ongoing projects - Improve and modularise existing Infrastructure as Code estates - Support and enhance AKS environments - Work closely with developers to resolve infrastructure and deployment challenges - Manage and support production cloud environments - Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives - Contribute to the adoption of cloud-native technologies and engineering best practices - Collaborate with senior engineers on strategic infrastructure projects What We're Looking For We're interested in speaking with Infrastructure Engineers, Cloud Engineers, Platform Engineers and DevOps Engineers who have: - Commercial experience with Microsoft Azure - A strong infrastructure or systems administration background - Good networking knowledge, including DNS, routing, VPNs and firewalls - Experience supporting cloud infrastructure in production environments - Experience working closely with software development teams - A passion for cloud technologies and continuous learning Desirable experience includes: - Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools - Kubernetes and AKS - Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines - Platform engineering experience - PowerShell, Bash or other scripting languages What's On Offer - Salary up to £55,000 - Hybrid working model - Learning and development budget - Access to training and certifications - Mentoring from experienced senior engineers - Exposure to Azure, Terraform, AKS and modern platform engineering practices - The chance to work on greenfield projects and a large-scale cloud transformation programme If you're an Infrastructure or Cloud Engineer looking to deepen your cloud engineering expertise and work on modern Azure-based platforms, we'd love to hear from you.
