Based in London with a flexible hybrid working model, this is an opportunity to influence business strategy, technology direction, and large-scale change programmes at an enterprise level.
The Opportunity
As Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for translating business strategy into clear technology roadmaps, target architectures, and practical transformation plans. Working across business and technology functions, you will ensure major programmes deliver sustainable outcomes while reducing complexity, increasing reuse, and strengthening the overall enterprise landscape.
This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance long-term architectural vision with pragmatic delivery, influencing senior stakeholders and guiding key technology decisions across applications, data, cloud, integration, security, and engineering functions.

- Translate business strategy into technology direction, investment priorities, and delivery roadmaps.
- Provide architectural leadership across major transformation programmes and strategic initiatives.
- Develop and maintain architecture principles, standards, patterns, and governance frameworks.
- Drive technology simplification, rationalisation, and platform consolidation initiatives.
- Partner with engineering, cloud, data, security, and business teams to shape strategic platforms and capabilities.
- Lead architecture decision-making across multiple domains including applications, data, integration, infrastructure, and cloud.
- Evaluate new technologies, platforms, and vendors, balancing value, risk, cost, resilience, and scalability.
- Ensure architecture supports operational resilience, regulatory requirements, and long-term maintainability.
- Assess emerging technologies, including AI and automation, to identify opportunities for enterprise value creation.
About You
You will be an experienced architecture leader with a strong track record of operating at enterprise level within complex organisations.
Essential Experience
- Significant experience as an Enterprise Architect, Lead Architect, or equivalent senior architecture role.
- Experience developing enterprise architecture roadmaps across multiple business domains and technology functions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence executives and senior leaders.
- Expertise across application architecture, integration, cloud platforms, data, security, and engineering practices.
- Knowledge of architecture governance, capability-based planning, technology transformation, and operating models.
- Experience evaluating strategic technology options and communicating trade-offs effectively.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of simplifying complex architectural concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Technical Expertise
- Modern architecture approaches including cloud-native, SaaS, API-led, event-driven, and data-centric architectures.
- Strong understanding of AWS and Azure environments.
- Enterprise integration patterns including APIs, messaging, events, orchestration, and data movement.
- Data architecture, governance, lineage, and quality management principles.
- Engineering and DevOps practices including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, and security scanning.
- Operational resilience, service ownership, disaster recovery, and non-functional architecture considerations.
- Exposure to AI, automation platforms, and responsible AI governance frameworks.
