Nurse Practitioner

Position Summary We are looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner with a strong neurology background to join our team in a fully remote, telehealth-based role. You will evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a wide range of neurological conditions through virtual visits, working closely with our physicians and support staff across all of our locations. Key Responsibilities - Conduct new patient evaluations and follow-up visits through our telehealth platform - Assess, diagnose, and manage neurological conditions including headache and migraine, epilepsy and seizure disorders, neuropathy, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, dementia, and sleep disorders - Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as MRI, CT, EEG, EMG/NCS, and lab work - Prescribe and manage medications, including treatment plan adjustments - Work with supervising and collaborating neurologists on complex cases - Coordinate care with clinic teams, referral sources, and primary care providers - Document visits accurately and on time in the EMR, following coding and compliance standards - Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care Qualifications Required: - Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program - Active, unrestricted Texas APRN license (or ability to obtain before start date) - National board certification (AANP or ANCC) - Active DEA registration - 5+ years of clinical experience as an NP in neurology - Demonstrated experience delivering care through telehealth - Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently in a remote setting - Excellent communication skills and a strong virtual bedside manner Preferred: - Experience with headache management, including Botox for chronic migraine and nerve blocks - Bilingual in English and Spanish - Licensed in TX Remote Work Requirements - Reliable high-speed internet connection - A private, HIPAA-compliant home workspace - Availability during standard clinic hours (Central Time) Originally posted on Himalayas
