Platform Engineer – Developer Experience (DevEx) - up to 135K + stock + bonus Amsterdam | Hybrid (3 days office) | Mid-Level & Senior This is a new team from scratch with global impact. You’ll build the tools that help great engineers do their best work. For an international, technology-driven organisation in Amsterdam, we're looking for Mid-Level and Senior Platform Engineers who are passionate about Developer Experience, automation, and building scalable engineering platforms. This is an opportunity to work on the infrastructure and internal tooling that enable hundreds of engineers globally to build, deploy, and operate software efficiently and reliably. Rather than simply maintaining infrastructure or responding to tickets, you'll have the freedom to identify engineering bottlenecks, challenge existing processes, and build solutions that make a real difference. What you'll be working on - Building and improving internal developer platforms and self-service tooling. - Optimising CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and deployment workflows. - Working with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes. - Improving developer workflows across backend and frontend environments. - Supporting API ecosystems - Enhancing observability, automation, and infrastructure reliability. - Collaborating directly with software engineers to identify friction and improve productivity. - Driving technical improvements and helping shape engineering standards. What we're looking for - Solid software engineering experience, ideally with exposure to Platform Engineering, Developer Experience, DevOps, or internal tooling. - Hands-on experience with CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and containerisation. - Experience with Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, AWS (can also be other clouds), Terraform, GraphQL. - A software engineering mindset and an interest in building tools for other developers. - The ability to take ownership, solve complex technical challenges, and work across engineering teams. - Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to improving how software is built and delivered. Mid-level engineers: You'll have the opportunity to deepen your platform engineering expertise, take ownership of meaningful projects, and grow technically. Senior engineers: You'll have the autonomy to influence technical direction, improve engineering standards, and lead initiatives with impact across multiple teams. You don't need to have experience with every technology listed. We're particularly interested in engineers who enjoy solving problems and making other developers more productive.
