American Sign Language (ASL) Language Interpreter - Independent Contractor Job Description: - Rates are negotiable* - Be fluent in both English and ASL - Be RID Certified, in process, or EIPA, NIC, NAD CI, CT or equivalent - Be prepared to have Livescan and Background Checks conducted - Be familiar with HIPPA and Cultural Sensitivity trainings - Adhere to CHIA Professional Code of Conduct standards - Be comfortable with the consecutive interpretation process (Simultaneous a plus) - Strong passion for interpreting and customer service. - Facilitate interpretation in a variety of subjects: in Medical, Business, and Education Settings - Be experienced with both face to face and remote interpreting.
