Solutions Architect

About the job We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect for a client in the banking industry in the Netherlands. In this role, you will help shape the end-to-end architecture for how internal digital products and services are consumed across the organisation. You will assess the existing technology landscape, define the target architecture, and develop a practical implementation roadmap. Working closely with senior architects, business stakeholders, and technology experts, you will drive alignment across multiple domains and translate strategic objectives into scalable, integrated solutions. Your Job - Designing end-to-end solution architectures for the consumption of internal digital products and services - Translating business operating models and strategic objectives into scalable solution architectures - Defining business processes, information flows, system interactions, and integrations across multiple domains - Assessing the existing enterprise landscape and identifying architectural gaps, dependencies, and risks - Defining target-state architecture and a realistic implementation roadmap - Aligning senior architects and stakeholders with competing priorities and different architectural viewpoints - Leading architectural discussions and driving clear decisions across business and technology domains - Challenging existing assumptions and architectural choices to improve integration, scalability, and efficiency - Preparing architectural recommendations and trade-off analyses for senior management - Ensuring proposed solutions are practical, implementable, and aligned with business objectives Your Profile - At least 10 years of experience as a Senior Solution Architect, Lead Solution Architect, or in a comparable architecture role - Proven experience designing end-to-end solutions across multiple business and technology domains - Strong understanding of enterprise integration, business processes, information flows, and architecture governance - Experience translating business operating models into solution and information architectures - Experience analysing complex IT landscapes and defining target-state and transition architectures - Proven ability to develop implementation roadmaps and manage cross-domain dependencies - Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior architects and decision-makers - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to challenge existing approaches constructively and drive architectural decisions - Strong communication skills, including presenting architectural choices and recommendations to senior management - Experience with Product-Led Thinking, digital product consumption models, TBM, FinOps, or technology cost management is a plus - Familiarity with platforms such as ServiceNow and Pega is a plus - Experience in large financial institutions or complex international organisations is a plus - Fluent in English We Offer - Hybrid working environment - Salary up to €7,700 based on 36 hours - 22,5 vacation days Our Client Our client is a leading financial institution with an international presence and a strong focus on innovation, technology, and operational excellence.
