Description

One of the companies we work with at Joppy is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the team. Type of work: HYBRID in Barcelona, Madrid or A Coruña (4 days/week at office). Do you want to help us redefine how AI powers the future of Business Management software, not as an add-on, but as a core part of how people work, decide and grow? We're looking for a Senior/Staff Site Reliability Engineer to join our Infrastructure Team in the Platform Domain. Our Infrastructure team’s mission is to keep the application running 24/7, ensure its performance, scalability and security, as well as research improvements to enable Product Engineers to develop new use cases adding value to our customers. What are we looking for? 🎯 - 6+ years of Software/Systems Engineering experience, with 5+ years as Cloud SRE - Solid experience monitoring and troubleshooting large-scale cloud deployments - Hands-on with Terraform or Ansible for IaC - Observability experience with Datadog, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry - Proficiency with AWS or Azure - Someone able to debug issues in Kubernetes clusters - Experience managing large MySQL clusters with HA configuration - Someone who breaks down complex problems into clear, shareable elements - Someone who enjoys mentoring and helping others grow - Someone who can communicate professionally in English ⚠️ Please note this is not a backend or frontend Software Engineering role. What You’ll be doing? - As a Staff Engineer you’ll lead technical discussions and provide guidance to more junior engineers on best practices and coding standards. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of features. - Identify and troubleshoot software defects and implement effective solutions. - You will be a product-centric engineer, taking ownership of big initiatives, and being interested in the outcome, not just the output. About the outcome, you’ll also work with your team members to establish goals and plan a quarterly roadmap, putting special attention to the technical needs of our domain. - You will review code, and get feedback on your own code. - You will learn from the entire team, both on technical topics (performance, architecture…) and core skills, in an environment driven by engineering quality. - You will share your knowledge, through the RFCs you write, pairing sessions, our mentoring programme or the occasional appearance in the monthly Tech All Hands. How We Work 💻 We believe the best products are built when people come together, in person to collaborate, challenge ideas, and move fast. That’s why our Engineering Teams follows an office-first, flexible approach. We work on-site four days a week, using that time to connect, align, and innovate as a team. However, we also understand the importance of focus and flexibility, so we support remote work when it makes sense - whether for deep work, personal needs, or just a change of scenery. This balance helps us stay agile, creative, and closely connected, while giving everyone the space to do their best work. Perks - High growth, multicultural and friendly environment - Competitive ESOP plan - Alan as private health insurance - Healthy life with Wellhub (Gyms, pools, outdoor classes) - Save expenses with Cobee - Language classes - Breakfast in the office and organic fruit - Food discounts with Nora - Pet Friendly - Much more that we'll spill during the interview process!
