Founded in 2006 with the mission "To Challenge Complexity", Closer Consulting is a Data Science company specializing in Business Intelligence, Advanced Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence. Developing projects in the most diverse industries – Banking, Telecommunications, Healthcare, Retail, Energy, Insurance, and Aviation, among others –, we have created an environment where the brightest enquiring minds feel at home, providing our people with the means, opportunities and support they need to thrive and innovate. We are seeking a skilled Senior/Tech Lead Salesforce (Commerce Cloud) eager to take on new challenges in a hybrid work model in Porto. Partner with product and business stakeholders to translate business goals into an actionable, realistic technical roadmap. - Proactive Risk Management: Anticipate and manage technical delivery risks (architectural bottlenecks, cross-team dependencies, capacity constraints) and implement mitigation plans proactively. - Cross-Team Alignment: Ensure technical coherence across all domain teams and unblock multi-team delivery issues. - Standards & AI Adoption: Organize and standardize shared toolsets, coding guidelines, and rules. Drive the adoption of AI-assisted development models (code agents, harnesses, shared skills/rules). - DevOps Culture & Mindset: Promote and foster a full-ownership DevOps model, encouraging teams to manage the complete lifecycle to reduce silos and accelerate time-to-production. - Balanced Leadership: Strike the right balance between technical depth, process excellence, and people leadership. Mandatory Requirements: - Technical Leadership: Proven track record in technical leadership across multiple engineering teams (e.g., Senior Tech Lead, Engineering Manager, or Technical Domain Lead). - Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC): Solid, hands-on experience with SFCC B2C (SFRA)—including architecture, customization, and operating e-commerce environments. - Headless Architecture: Hands-on experience with React in headless e-commerce setups. - Delivery & Dependency Management: Proven ability to resolve complex cross-team delivery bottlenecks and align conflicting technical priorities. - Strategic Communication: Comfortable defining and communicating medium-term technical strategies to both technical teams and business/product stakeholders. - Risk Management: Strong foresight in identifying, communicating, and mitigating implementation risks early in the delivery lifecycle. - AI-Assisted Engineering: Hands-on experience or a strong willingness to adopt AI-assisted development frameworks (coding agents, shared rules/skills, harnesses). Nice to Have / Differentials: - Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud, Salesforce OMS, or Salesforce Data Cloud (Data 360). - Experience with API Gateway / Integration platforms (e.g., Gravitee, Solace). Soft Skills & Behavioral Profile - Accountability: Comfortable driving accountability without direct hierarchical authority over all team members. - Business Acumen: Ability to understand business roadmaps, actively collaborate on business strategy, and map business demands into technical solutions. - Pragmatism: Pragmatic approach to technical debt, balancing architecture improvements with business delivery targets. - Communication: Clear, concise communication skills tailored for technical, functional, and executive audiences. - Resilience: Strong leadership presence capable of keeping teams motivated and focused during high-pressure periods.
