Description
We're hiring a Senior Account Executive I (Performance, Pro, North America) to build and scale a dedicated commercial motion across Teamworks' Performance product line for Pro and Enterprise sports organizations. I'm Nick Walsh https://www.linkedin.com/in/nick-walsh-3ba07139, Head of Performance (Sales) at Teamworks.
The Pro/Enterprise performance market is one of the fastest-growing segments in sports technology, and we're sharpening our focus to go after it the right way. That means building a dedicated motion around our Performance product line, led by AMS and EMR and backed by Strength & Conditioning and Nutrition, with someone who has used these products from inside a performance department, not just sold around one. This is not a traditional sales role. We're looking for a practitioner-turned-commercial professional who has held a senior performance leadership position inside a Professional Team, Enterprise organization, or a national/state high-performance institute, and who understands what it takes to build, run, and scale a performance operation because they've done it themselves.
THE ROLE
- Own and grow a pipeline of Pro and Enterprise prospects across the full Performance category, with AMS, EMR, Strength & Conditioning, Nutrition, and Kitchen as your leading product set
- Lead consultative discovery conversations with VPs of Health and Performance, Directors of Performance, Head Athletic Trainers, Strength Coaches, and Registered Dietitians
- Partner with our Customer Success team to identify expansion and renewal opportunities within existing Pro and Enterprise accounts
- Represent Teamworks at Pro and Enterprise-specific industry events, conferences, and site visits
- Provide market intelligence back to Product and Marketing based on your practitioner network and field experience
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR
WHAT YOU MUST BRING
- Hands-on performance experience inside a Professional Club, Enterprise organization, or national/state high-performance institute, in any sport, because your credibility with performance leaders is the foundation of this role
- Deep, firsthand experience actually using an Athlete Management System (AMS) and/or Strength & Conditioning platform in your day-to-day work, with the ability to navigate the system fluently, demo it credibly, and speak to where AI and emerging technology are taking these tools
- A Master's degree in a Performance-related sports discipline
- Deep understanding of how Pro and Enterprise programs make budget and purchasing decisions, including who holds influence at different levels within a sporting organization
- Based in North America, with a natural network across the Pro and Enterprise performance community and comfort managing a complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycle in a fast-moving, target-driven environment
EVEN BETTER IF
- You have existing relationships within a specific Pro league, conference, or national high-performance institute network
- You've been through enterprise-level procurement or RFP processes from the inside
- You have experience presenting to executive or ownership-level stakeholders
WHY THIS ROLE
You'll get to stay in the sport you've built your career around, without the grind of a season on the road. Instead of building one program, you'll help dozens of them level up, working across the Pro and Enterprise landscape with the backing of a market-leading product suite and a team that speaks your language. It's also a chance to build relationships far beyond the sport you came from, connecting with performance leaders across the wider Pro and Enterprise community.
This role is not eligible for sponsorship at this time.
