Senior Cloud Engineer

We're looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer with strong hands-on AWS expertise to join a growing Cloud Engineering team responsible for building, automating, securing, and operating highly available cloud platforms. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex production challenges, driving automation, and improving platform reliability through modern DevOps and SRE practices. What You'll Do - Design, build, and support AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code. - Manage and optimise services including EC2, EKS, ECS, Lambda, S3, VPC, MSK/Kafka, OpenSearch and CloudWatch. - Develop automation using Terraform, Python and Shell scripting. - Build and support CI/CD pipelines, container platforms and Kubernetes environments. - Implement monitoring, observability, alerting and automated remediation capabilities. - Lead production incident resolution, root cause analysis and reliability improvement initiatives. - Drive cloud security, compliance, disaster recovery and resilience programmes. - Identify performance improvements and cloud cost optimisation opportunities. Essential Skills - AWS architecture, networking and security - Terraform & Infrastructure as Code - Linux administration - Python and Shell scripting - Docker & Kubernetes (EKS) - CI/CD, DevOps and SRE practices - Splunk, CloudWatch and observability tooling - High-severity incident management and RCA - Disaster Recovery, BCP and resilience planning Nice to Have - AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer) - Multi-region AWS architecture - OpenTelemetry - Kafka/MSK - Hybrid cloud environments - AWS migration and modernisation projects - FinOps and cloud cost optimisation initiatives - Experience using GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Why Apply?
