Principal Mechanical Engineer - Building Services

Location: Cork, hybrid working Salary: €60,000-€75,000 Projects: Building Services / Mechanical Design Opportunity: Senior technical role with project leadership, client exposure and excellent progression opportunities Your new role You'll take a leading role in the delivery of mechanical building services projects, working closely with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams. - Lead mechanical design and project delivery across a range of projects - Prepare mechanical specifications and equipment schedules - Carry out heating, cooling and ventilation calculations - Produce and review detailed technical calculations - Represent the consultancy at client, contractor and project meetings - Undertake site surveys and monitor progress during construction - Support and mentor engineers within the wider team - Contribute to the continued development of the mechanical engineering offering What you'll need to succeed - Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline - Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership - Strong mechanical building services design experience - Previous experience within an engineering consultancy or contractor design environment - Good knowledge of relevant technical standards - Experience with mechanical design software such as IES, HEVACOMP, NBS and Revit - Comfortable managing project deliverables and dealing directly with clients - Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical decisions What you'll get in return Excellent salary and package What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
