Senior Product Owner

We help the global insurance market to handle millions of claims each year in the most cost-effective and efficient ways possible. The Client is embarking on an exciting and challenging transformation program and our software solutions are a driving force behind this strategy using cloud computing and leading-edge design patterns. Requirements: - 5+ years as a Product Owner in a software development environment - Strong requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation across business, functional, and non-functional needs - Hands-on experience writing clear user stories with acceptance criteria and managing/prioritizing a product backlog - Experience working in Agile / Scrum / Kanban teams - Proficiency with Jira (required) and Confluence (or comparable Agile and documentation tooling) - Experience with Miro or similar collaboration/whiteboarding tools - Familiarity with SaaS business models and cloud-based architectures, with a working understanding of AWS/Azure - Understanding of REST APIs, integrations, and data flows - Process mapping and modeling skills (BPMN, flow diagrams) - Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and workshop leadership - Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to work in a distributed, multi-timezone team (EU, UK) - Excellent English communication skills, comfortable with both technical and non-technical audiences Nice to Have: - Experience with AI-assisted development and analysis tools (Copilot, Claude, Cursor) - Background in enterprise / B2B SaaS, multi-tenant platforms, or large-scale portals - Experience supporting a platform consolidation, migration, or feature-parity initiative - Certification such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile/Scrum (CSM, SAFe) / Product Owner (CSPO) - Experience with SQL or data querying tools - Exposure to compliance or regulatory-driven environments (data privacy, security standards) Responsibilities: - Own, refine, and prioritize the product backlog for the portal feature-parity workstream - Translate product vision and business objectives into clear, actionable user stories with acceptance criteria in Jira - Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements - Facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews, and discovery sessions - Lead and support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release planning - Ensure requirements traceability from business objective through to delivery - Collaborate with engineering, UX, DevOps, and QA to clarify requirements and resolve ambiguities - Document workflows, process diagrams, system interactions, and data flows - Define KPIs and success metrics for new features and releases - Support UAT planning and validation to confirm delivered functionality meets business intent - Identify risks, dependencies, and impacts of proposed changes - Engage with Client product and engineering counterparts in EU/UK on scope, integration points, and delivery milestones - Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, planning, retros, demos) We offer*: - Flexible working format - remote, office-based or flexible - A competitive salary and good compensation package - Personalized career growth - Professional development tools (mentorship program, tech talks and trainings, centers of excellence, and more) - Active tech communities with regular knowledge sharing - Education reimbursement - Memorable anniversary presents - Corporate events and team buildings - Other location-specific benefits *not applicable for freelancers
