What will be your role We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join our team and take full technical ownership of the software development platform and CI/CD ecosystem of a leading mobility technology company, whose solutions power road operations and traffic management across Europe and the US. Your mission is simple but impactful: make it effortless for development teams to ship secure, reliable, high-quality software. You'll be the go-to person for everything platform-related, combining hands-on DevOps expertise with a strong sense of ownership and a passion for developer experience, automation and operational excellence. Your responsibilities will include - Owning the CI/CD ecosystem end-to-end: shared GitLab CI/CD templates, builder images, the corporate Maven parent POM and pipelines across multiple tech stacks; - Administering and evolving the DevOps toolchain, including GitLab, CI runners and build agents, artifact repositories, and code quality and observability tools; - Operating Jira and Confluence on Amazon EKS; - Embedding security and quality into CI/CD with Software Composition Analysis, SBOMs, vulnerability management, secret detection and quality gates; - Being the first point of contact for development teams on platform requests and troubleshooting; - Maintaining the engineering metrics platform and its dashboards; - Ensuring platform reliability and continuity: backups, disaster recovery, restore testing, maintenance, incident management and root cause analysis; - Delivering training and documentation, mentoring other engineers and working closely with technology vendors; What should you bring to the team - 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform, Software or Infrastructure Engineering, with a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience; - Proven experience designing and running CI/CD pipelines and software development platforms, ideally with GitLab CI/CD and the Java/Maven build ecosystem; - Strong command of Git, Linux (RHEL/Rocky), Bash and Python, plus Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Ansible; - Hands-on experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes) and practical AWS knowledge, including PostgreSQL/Amazon RDS; - DevSecOps mindset: software supply chain security (SCA, SBOM), vulnerability and secrets management, and daily, fluent use of AI coding assistants; - Fluent English (mandatory, written and spoken); Nice to have - Experience with Nexus Repository, SonarQube or Dependency-Track; - Amazon EKS and Helm; - Identity and access tools such as Okta (SAML SSO) or Teleport; - Observability stacks such as Grafana, Prometheus or Loki; - Virtualisation platforms (Proxmox or other hypervisors) and networking know-how (DNS, TLS/PKI, reverse proxies, WAF, VPN); - Relevant certifications (Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, GitLab, RHCSA or ITIL 4); What is in it for you - An amazing informal culture of smart, hardworking, and friendly people who support and care about each other; - A mentorship program from day one; - The opportunity to own a platform that directly shapes how dozens of engineers build and ship software; - Formal training and certifications; - Access to cutting-edge tools and technologies; - A dynamic company where your ideas matter more than your job title; - Flexibility with responsibility; - A Rubber Duck to help you debug those stubborn pipelines; Don't hold off any longer and apply now!
