Technical Lead

On behalf of a growing consumer brand, we’re looking for a Technical Team Lead to take charge of their development team and lead it through its next phase. This is a genuine leadership role. You’d be accountable for how the development team performs: the people, the output, and the engineering quality behind it. You’ll have a technology manager to align with, but the aim is someone who spots what needs attention, forms a view and follows through without needing to be chased. It’s a mix of people leadership, delivery management and real technical judgement. You don’t need to be the strongest coder in the room, but you do need to understand the decisions well enough to challenge them. Responsibilities - Build a predictable, high-quality delivery rhythm and fix the structural causes of delays and rework - Lead, coach and grow the team, including recruitment, feedback and performance management - Act as a technical sparring partner for medior and senior developers - Set standards for code review, testing, deployment and security, and reduce key-person dependencies - Drive improvement in areas such as technical debt, uptime and the smart use of AI-assisted development - Turn the technology roadmap into a clear plan for people, skills and ways of working Your Profile - Substantial software development experience, ideally with prior lead or senior responsibility - Skilled in Python or back-end software development - Proven people and performance management skills - Enough technical depth to challenge, decide and take accountability - Experience in a larger or more mature engineering environment is a strong plus - Independent judgement and a direct, constructive communication style The Offer - A role with real ownership and a seat at the table in shaping how development works - A team that’s ready to step up, with room to build it the right way - A competitive salary up to €7k - Chance to take responsibility over a high potential platform - Flexible hybrid work
