Senior React / React Native Engineer

N-iX is looking for a Senior React / React Native Engineer to join our client’s Experience Platform engineering group. About the Client Our client is a leading Canadian online brokerage and wealth management fintech company. The platform provides retail investors with modern trading solutions, mobile applications, and a broad range of investment products within a highly regulated financial environment. About the Project The client is expanding its engineering presence in Ukraine and building a dedicated team consisting of a Team Lead, a Senior QA Engineer, and two product-focused development pods. Each pod includes four engineers and owns its domain end-to-end, covering web, mobile, and backend services. As a Senior React / React Native Engineer, you will join one of these product pods within the Experience Platform group. While the role has a strong focus on client-facing applications, you will also contribute to backend services and APIs that power mobile and web experiences. You will play a key role in shaping technical solutions, driving engineering excellence, and mentoring other developers. Responsibilities - Lead technical design and implementation of complex features across React Native and ReactJS applications - Build and maintain Node.js/TypeScript services and RESTful APIs supporting web and mobile platforms - Drive application performance improvements, including rendering optimization, memory profiling, and bundle size reduction - Break down complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions and deliverable increments - Establish and promote best practices for code quality, testing, security, observability, and operational excellence - Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and application release processes - Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing - Collaborate closely with Product, UX, Architecture, and Security teams to deliver scalable and compliant solutions - Participate in incident response activities and support production systems when required - Evaluate and adopt modern engineering and AI-powered development tools to improve team productivity Requirements - 6+ years of experience building and maintaining production-grade software systems - 5+ years of commercial experience with React Native or ReactJS and at least 1+ year of experience with the complementary technology - Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, component architecture, and state management solutions - 1+ year of hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript - Experience designing, building, or consuming RESTful APIs - Solid understanding of microservices and service-oriented architectures - Experience working with cloud platforms (GCP preferred; AWS or Azure is also acceptable) - Practical experience with CI/CD processes and containerized environments - Proven track record of leading technical initiatives and influencing engineering decisions - Strong communication skills and upper-intermediate or higher English level - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience Nice to Have - Experience with real-time data streaming technologies such as WebSockets, Kafka, or Google Pub/Sub - Background in financial services, brokerage, trading platforms, or other regulated industries - Exposure to native iOS/Android development and native module integration - Experience with mobile application delivery pipelines and release management - Familiarity with AI-powered engineering tools such as Claude Code - Knowledge of secure software development practices, threat modeling, or DevSecOps - Experience building AI/ML-powered product features - Angular experience We offer*: - Flexible working format - remote, office-based or flexible - A competitive salary and good compensation package - Personalized career growth - Professional development tools (mentorship program, tech talks and trainings, centers of excellence, and more) - Active tech communities with regular knowledge sharing - Education reimbursement - Memorable anniversary presents - Corporate events and team buildings - Other location-specific benefits *not applicable for freelancers
