Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Architect / Engineer Location: DenHaag, Netherlands Experience: 10+ years overall IT experience, including 5+ years hands-on OCI experience & Having Transistion experience is must Language: Dutch Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Architect/Engineer to design, implement, manage, and optimize enterprise-grade OCI infrastructure environments.The role will focus on OCI architecture, networking, compute, storage, security, databases, Kubernetes, automation, Infrastructure as Code, high availability, disaster recovery, and cloud migration. The candidate will work closely with database, application, security, and infrastructure teams in a hybrid/multi-cloud environment. Key Responsibilities - Design, deploy, and manage OCI infrastructure, including Compute, VCN, Load Balancers, Block Storage and Object Storage. - Design and implement OCI networking including VCNs, subnets, route tables, Security Lists, NSGs, DRG, FastConnect and VPN connectivity. - Design and manage high availability and disaster recovery solutions across OCI regions and Availability Domains. - Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and OCI Resource Manager. - Manage and optimize Oracle Autonomous Database, Exadata Cloud Service, and other Oracle Cloud database services. - Configure and manage OCI IAM, including compartments, policies, groups, and dynamic groups. - Design and manage container platforms using Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE). - Automate infrastructure and operational processes using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar scripting technologies. - Implement and manage OCI DevOps and CI/CD pipelines. - Configure OCI Monitoring, Logging and Application Performance Monitoring (APM). - Support migration of workloads from on-premises or other cloud platforms to OCI using lift-and-shift and re-platforming approaches. - Implement OCI security best practices using Cloud Guard, Vault, encryption and Web Application Firewall (WAF). - Support cloud governance and cost optimization through budgets, tagging and compartment structures. - Troubleshoot and resolve OCI infrastructure, networking, security, and performance issues. - Work closely with database, application, security, and infrastructure teams. - Create and maintain architecture documents, technical designs, runbooks, and operational procedures. Mandatory / Essential Skills - 10+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 5 years of hands-on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) experience. - Strong hands-on experience with: - OCI Compute - OCI Networking / VCN - DRG - FastConnect - VPN - Load Balancers - Block Storage - Object Storage - Strong experience in OCI architecture and infrastructure design. - Experience with Oracle Autonomous Database and/or Exadata Cloud Service. - Strong knowledge of Terraform and OCI Resource Manager. - Hands-on experience with Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE) and containerized workloads. - Strong understanding of OCI IAM, compartments, policies, groups, and dynamic groups. - Experience with OCI security services such as: - Cloud Guard - Vault - WAF - Encryption / Key Management - Experience with hybrid connectivity and on-premises integration. - Experience with OCI Monitoring, Logging and APM. - Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery architecture. - Experience with OCI migration projects from on-premises or other cloud environments. - Strong scripting/automation skills using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or equivalent. - Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - Dutch language proficiency. Certifications Preferred / Required as applicable: - Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Professional – preferred - Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Associate – preferred - Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations Associate – preferred - Oracle Autonomous Database Cloud Specialist – preferred - Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) – good to have Soft Skills - Strong ownership and accountability. - Ability to work independently on complex infrastructure initiatives. - Strong cross-functional collaboration with database, application, security, and infrastructure teams. - Clear communication and documentation skills. - Ability to explain technical architecture and design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Comfortable working in hybrid and multi-cloud environments. - Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting mindset. Good to Have - CKA certification. - Experience with OCI DevOps. - Experience working in enterprise-scale OCI environments. - Multi-cloud/hybrid-cloud experience. - Experience with large-scale OCI migration and transformation projects.
