The client manages nine figures in assets and wants a researcher who can develop, test, and deploy live strategies while finding new alpha. 📋 Responsibilities include: - Research, develop, and deploy systematic trading strategies - Generate alpha via statistical, quantitative, and ML techniques - Analyze complex datasets to uncover persistent trading signals - Improve execution, portfolio construction, and risk management - Run rigorous backtesting, validation, and post-trade analysis - Collaborate to productionize research and explore new markets 🔑 Requirements: - 2-5 years in quantitative research, systematic trading, or a related role - Leading prop firm, quant hedge fund, or systematic platform experience preferred - Strong foundations in statistics, probability, ML, or optimization - Ability to turn noisy financial data into profitable strategies - Strong programming skills, ideally in Python - Direct ownership of research, strategy, or trading outcomes 🛠 Preferred backgrounds: - Jane Street, Citadel, D. E.
