Engineering Team Leader, Maritime & Electrical Engineering

Are you an experienced people leader with a passion for technology and engineering? Lead a team of 20 + engineers responsible for designing electrical installations for high-end yachts and offshore projects. You’ll shape team development, ensure the right expertise is available for projects, and drive continuous improvement across the engineering department. What will you do? - Lead, coach and develop a team of engineers across multiple locations. - Manage team capacity, skills, and resource planning. - Conduct performance reviews and support employee development. - Handle first-line HR responsibilities, including employee matters and absence management. - Work closely with project managers and other engineering leaders. - Improve engineering processes, standards, and ways of working. What do you bring? - An HBO-level degree or equivalent. - Several years of experience as a Team Leader or Engineering Manager in the Netherlands. - Proven people management experience in a technical environment. - Familiarity with Dutch HR legislation and procedures, including sickness absence management and the Wet verbetering poortwachter. - Experience conducting performance reviews, managing employee development. - Strong communication, coaching, and decision-making skills. - A structured, entrepreneurial mindset and affinity with technology. - Willingness to travel between locations in the Netherlands.
