Senior Director - Accounting & Compliance

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Director – Accounting & Compliance based in India. This is a senior finance leadership opportunity with responsibility for building and scaling the accounting and compliance function for an India-based entity. You will oversee accounting, statutory compliance, tax, treasury coordination, payroll finance support, and financial governance in a growing international environment. The role offers significant ownership, including transitioning finance operations from an external provider to a scalable in-house model. You will work closely with global finance teams and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, strong controls, and regulatory compliance. A key focus will be establishing robust processes aligned with US GAAP, Indian statutory requirements, SOX principles, and local regulations. You will also play an important role in an ERP implementation, supporting process design, controls, data readiness, testing, and stabilization. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting leader who combines strong technical expertise with strategic thinking, people leadership, and the ability to operate independently in a complex environment.
