Its data shows what the world watches across TV, streaming and digital in more than 80 countries. Following a major private equity investment, the business is building its own data engineering team in Barcelona, and is hiring the first three people to shape it. The roles - Lead Data Engineer (x1): a hands-on lead managing 3–5 engineers, setting the technical direction and working with an external delivery partner - Data Engineer (x2): building and improving the large-scale pipelines behind products used by broadcasters, advertisers and agencies worldwide What you’ll do - Design, build and optimise data pipelines in PySpark and Databricks - Write efficient, well-tested SQL and Python - Add data quality checks, monitoring and automated tests - Contribute to CI/CD, code reviews and the team’s engineering standards - Use AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot and similar) as part of everyday work - For the Lead: mentor the team, set standards and work with stakeholders and the delivery partner What you’ll bring - Hands-on experience with Databricks, PySpark and SQL - Experience with Azure, or another major cloud platform and a willingness to move across - Python (Java is a bonus), Git and orchestration tools such as Airflow - A strong sense of ownership and a focus on data quality - For the Lead: experience leading or mentoring engineers - Good English and Spanish Why join - Build, don’t inherit.
