National Systems Manager

National IT Manager – Stellenbosch, Cape Town Our client a nationalISP is looking for a National Systems Manager Lead the team nationally in one of the fastest growingcompanies in SA. This is a hand’s on role –Designing, developing and implementing solutions. Special Skills: · OSS/BSS · MS Active Directory · Office 365 · Identity management - Manage a mix of WISPS, 70 systems & VAS & Cloud basedapplications The position of National Manager – Systems is responsiblefor the execution of the national systems plan. This includes responsibilityfor the internal systems and the future OSS/BSS development; consolidation ofnational systems infrastructure and the standardisation and consolidation ofnational systems for operations, head-office IT, value added services and othersupport systems. Job summary: - Inform the systems strategy and propose national systems& related infrastructure tactics, plans and budgets aligned with theCompany strategy of standardisation, consolidation & integration. - Propose and build a national systems team and competencymanagement & support centre aligned with all internal business customer’sneeds. - Execute the systems tactics as per agreed systems plans. - Engage with the counterparts in the other divisions anddepartments to ensure cohesion between all the functions of the business. - Keep the COO informed of the state of systems throughperiodic reporting. Min Requirements - Strong demonstrable experience in creating andsuccessfully implementing a large IT project or founding and running asuccessful start-up - Strong ability to translate business needs intotechnology requirements - 5+ years software development experience ineither development team lead or project management roles - 5+ years’ experience in deploying and managingkey server or network infrastructure - Strong knowledge of networking, includingrouting, tcp and network security - Strong demonstrable experience in deploying andmanaging cloud hosted applications - Strong demonstrable experience in data securityand information management - Experience in implementing POPI or GDPR policiesor procedures within your organisation - Experience in Microsoft Active directory, orsimilar - Experience in managing a distributed team orremote workers - Proven ability to manage multiple projectssimultaneously - Experience in OSS/BSS systems will beadvantageous - Experience in the ISP industry will beadvantageous Originally posted on Himalayas
