Description

Senior Backend .NET Engineer – Microservices | Azure | Amsterdam [Up to €93K OTE] Tens of millions of visits a month. Search that has to answer in milliseconds. Data streams feeding live tools. This is backend work where performance actually matters. My client runs one of the best-known consumer platforms in the Netherlands, used by millions of people every month. It is an established company with the scale of a big tech product and the team feel of a scale-up. The architecture is fully cloud native: .NET 8 microservices on Kubernetes, event-driven communication between services and daily deployments through Azure DevOps. Platform tooling handles the plumbing, so engineers spend their time building features instead of fighting infrastructure. You will join one of the several new feature teams. What you'll do Your focus is the backend. You develop and refine the .NET 8 services that sit directly behind what millions of users see, from search performance to the data streams that power interactive calculation tools. You own what you build, including how it behaves in production. Technical decisions are made inside the team, not handed down. You do code reviews, share knowledge and work closely with experienced engineers who know this platform inside out. Your Profile - 8+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer in .NET Core - Experience with C# and .NET Core, ideally .NET 8 - Experience with microservices and event-driven architecture - Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Azure - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps is a plus - Currently living in the Netherlands, fluent English. Dutch is a plus What's in it for you - Up to €85K gross base per year on a 40-hour contract, with 32 or 36 hours also open for discussion. - An annual bonus of up to 1.5 times your monthly salary. - 25 days off with the option to buy more, and a strong pension scheme. - You work hybrid, at least 40 percent in the Amsterdam office, with travel costs for office days fully reimbursed and a monthly allowance for home working, phone and internet. - You get a learning budget of up to €2,000 per year. - Unlimited mental health support.
