Description
Our client runs one of Europe's largest company bike leasing businesses. Employers offer their people a lease bike, most of them electric, as part of their benefits package, and the client handles the leasing, the dealer network and the service. More than 600,000 employees at around 65,000 companies ride through the programme, supported by 8,000 partner dealers.
The business is part of a Dutch family-owned mobility group, and one of Europe's largest automotive financial services groups holds a significant minority stake. It operates across the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France and Switzerland, and is growing across Europe and the USA.
The role
The company is bringing its regional platforms together onto one modern platform, running fully cloud-native on AWS with no on-prem. Two roles are open in the infrastructure team that sits underneath every product team, reporting to the Head of Infrastructure. You'll own the AWS organisation, CI/CD and observability, and set the standard for infrastructure delivered by external partners.
This suits someone who wants to be the technical authority on infrastructure and is confident telling a vendor their architecture isn't good enough.
What you'll be doing
- Govern and optimise a multi-account AWS Organization: account strategy, IAM, security, compliance and cost
- Act as the internal technical authority and quality gate for infrastructure delivered by external partners
- Administer GitLab and design scalable CI/CD pipelines
- Lead monitoring, logging, tracing and alerting
- Help the AI team provision and scale ML and LLM workloads
What you'll need
- Several years in a fully cloud-native AWS environment
- Deep AWS Organizations, multi-account setups, IAM and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CDK)
- Hands-on GitLab administration and enterprise CI/CD
- Observability tooling such as Datadog, Prometheus and Grafana
- The confidence to review, challenge and validate vendor architecture
- Fluent German and English (both required)
- Nice to have: AWS Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer certification, GitOps, end-to-end distributed tracing, AWS Bedrock, SageMaker or GPU workloads, experience alongside Big 4 or tier-1 consultancies
Location & logistics
Remote-first. You can be based in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Austria, France or Sweden, with occasional travel for team events and workshops.
