Data Engineer

Are you a data engineer who enjoys building reliable data foundations, and wants to explore how AI is changing that work? At Curamando, you’ll join our Data Foundation team and build the platforms, pipelines and data models behind AI-driven insights and activation. We work across industries, with brands like McDonald’s and IKEA. Data foundations are changing. Clients now want custom reporting apps and AI agents that answer business questions on their own. That needs reliable pipelines, strong data models and a semantic layer that gives people and AI the same definitions. How we work is changing too. We’re quickly becoming AI-first, and you’ll help us find what works in practice. As a Data Engineer, you’ll own your work and build alongside clients and experienced colleagues across Curamando and Eidra, often on site. What you’ll do - Design and implement modern cloud data platforms - Build and run cost-efficient pipelines that bring different sources into warehouses and lakehouses - Model data and build semantic layers that AI agents and downstream applications can rely on - Automate workflows with orchestration and CI/CD, and manage cloud resources with infrastructure as code - Catch data issues early through testing, monitoring and alerting - Work AI-first with coding agents, without losing quality or understanding - Take ownership of workstreams and contribute to technical discussions with clients and colleagues Who you are We believe you’re a good fit if you: - Have a couple of years’ experience building and running data pipelines and platforms in the cloud - Have a solid understanding of data modelling and core data engineering practices - Love to build and care about what you ship - Have good Python and SQL skills - Already use coding agents in your daily work, and hold their output to the same standard as your own - Enjoy solving problems together with clients and colleagues - Communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written - Are based in Stockholm or open to relocating here Why Curamando? The process consists of: - Introduction: A first conversation of around 45 minutes to discuss your experience, motivations and what you’re looking for. - Technical interview and case: You’ll present a short take-home case.
