InPost Pay is building its own fintech platform from the ground up. It’s a large-scale, international initiative where engineers will have the opportunity to shape the architecture, build core fintech components, and create solutions designed to operate at InPost’s scale. We’re building a lean, highly effective engineering organization in Poland, with AI-native engineering at its core. We’re looking for strong engineers who are comfortable with agentic engineering, from experienced professionals building complex systems and engineering tooling to a new generation of engineers who have embraced AI-driven development from the start of their careers. Job Description We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager who will take ownership of a growing engineering organization within the Pay domain. This is an opportunity for a leader who can scale teams, develop engineering leaders, drive technical excellence, and remain a credible partner in architectural and technology discussions. What will you be responsible for? - Defining and owning the multi-quarter engineering strategy for your platform area: architecture evolution, team topology, capability building, and technical risk management. - Leading 2–3 Engineering Managers across a total area of 8–20 engineers: developing them as leaders, holding delivery and quality accountability, and building alignment and collaboration between their teams. - Combining product direction, architectural input from Staff Engineers, and operational insights from Engineering Managers into a coherent, executable area strategy. - Defining organizational structure across the area: team boundaries, headcount planning, hiring strategy, and role definitions aligned to product and technical goals. - Serving as the executive engineering voice for your area, representing engineering to VP and C-level leadership with technical credibility and commercial framing. - Driving an AI-first engineering culture across the area: harness adoption, agentic operations, and data emission discipline enforced consistently through your Engineering Managers. - Partnering with Product, Business, and Engineering stakeholders to align strategy and drive outcomes. - Managing cross-team dependencies and ensuring high-quality delivery at scale. Qualifications Must have: - 10+ years of experience in backend software engineering and technology leadership, including 2+ years managing Engineering Managers within a multi-team organization. - University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. - Experience operating in large-scale product organizations. - Strong organizational design experience - team topology, headcount planning, and scaling without adding coordination overhead (2+ years). - Proven ability to build and execute multi-quarter, area-level strategic roadmaps that synthesize product, architecture, and operational inputs. - Strong cross-functional leadership with product, design, data, compliance, and finance stakeholders. - Excellent executive communication skills, written and verbal, for VP and C-suite audiences. - Technical credibility sufficient to engage in architecture reviews and risk assessments alongside Staff Engineers. - Experience driving AI-first and agentic engineering practices, including harness adoption and data emission discipline. - Solid command of delivery metrics at the area level: DORA, OKRs, team health, and business outcome tracking. - English proficiency at a minimum B2 level; Polish language skills are a plus Nice to have: - Experience in FinTech or another regulated product domain at a leadership level (3+ years). - Multi-market or multi-country engineering leadership experience (1+ years). - Familiarity with the FinTech regulatory landscape (PSD2, GDPR, credit regulation) at a strategic level. - Experience with board- or investor-level engineering reporting. - M&A or technical integration experience. - Experience managing multi-market regulatory complexity. Additional Information Why InPost? - Opportunity to work in a diverse, international, and cross-functional environment, along with leading experts. - You work and learn from a senior leader and their leadership team, expanding your experience and exposure in the e-commerce and logistics industries. -  InPost is a growing company that offers its people an increasing number of opportunities in several locations in Europe. - Fulfilling careers with a range of benefits for people and investing in providing training opportunities for their development. - You will feel a part of the InPost community that makes an impact on sustainability, convenient deliveries, and the circular economy every day. - Excellent working environment and flexible hours - We offer B2B type of contract
