Senior DevOps Engineer – Azure, Kubernetes & Terraform

Senior DevOps Engineer Cloud Infrastructure | Azure | Kubernetes | Terraform | CI/CD About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to modernise and operate enterprise platforms. You will drive cloud adoption, infrastructure automation, deployment modernisation and platform reliability, building secure, scalable and resilient solutions that enable development teams to deliver software efficiently. You will work within a technology team responsible for client-facing and advisor platforms, supporting critical digital services across cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments. Key Responsibilities - Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform. - Build and operate Azure cloud platforms, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). - Manage containerised workloads using Docker, Kubernetes and Helm. - Develop and optimise secure, automated CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes. - Implement monitoring, observability, alerting and operational dashboards. - Drive production stability through incident management, root-cause analysis and continuous improvement. - Support hybrid infrastructure, networking, connectivity and performance optimisation. - Implement secrets and certificate management, disaster recovery procedures and operational documentation. - Collaborate with engineering, architecture, security and infrastructure teams to improve platform standards and delivery efficiency. Essential Skills & Experience - Strong commercial experience in DevOps, platform engineering or cloud infrastructure. - Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure and AKS. - Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code. - Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes and Helm. - Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation. - Knowledge of monitoring, observability, incident management and production support. - Understanding of cloud security, secrets management, networking and hybrid infrastructure. - Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and cross-team collaboration skills. Preferred Skills - Experience operating enterprise-scale or business-critical production platforms. - Exposure to Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tooling. - Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor or equivalent. - Knowledge of scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell or Bash. - Experience with certificate lifecycle management, disaster recovery and complex release coordination. - Background in financial services or other highly regulated environments.
