Senior Software Engineer

Senior Software Engineer Ireland (Fully Remote) Up to €80K + Benefits IT Search has partnered with an established software company looking to add a Senior Software Engineer to its engineering team. You’ll work on scalable, high-performance systems, with a strong focus on multithreading, concurrency and distributed systems. This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to solve complex engineering challenges, optimise performance and contribute to architectural decisions across high-traffic applications. What you’ll be doing: - Designing and developing backend services using Java, Spring Boot and microservices - Building efficient, concurrent applications using multithreading and concurrency principles - Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, race conditions and reliability issues - Contributing to the architecture of scalable, distributed systems - Improving system performance, reliability and observability What we’re looking for: - 5+ years' software development experience with strong Java expertise - Strong knowledge of multithreading, concurrency, synchronisation and thread safety - Experience with Spring Boot, microservices and distributed systems - Familiarity with messaging technologies, RPC frameworks and Docker - Experience with CI/CD tools and working in a Linux environment - Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on clean, maintainable code Package: Up to €80K, plus bonus and an excellent benefits package.
