About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Systems Engineer with a strong background in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and programming in Go. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud-based solutions that meet stringent security, performance, and scalability requirements. You will take on technical leadership responsibilities, guiding the architecture of complex systems and ensuring their reliable operation across multiple regions. Your expertise will help shape our cloud platform, contributing to the development of innovative services that serve diverse client needs. Qualifications - A completed IT degree or an equivalent qualification with a strong passion for cloud technologies. - Proven experience in developing, deploying, and operating highly available cloud applications, ideally within a SaaS environment. - Proficiency in Go programming language, with a solid understanding of its unique features and concurrency models. - Hands-on experience with tools such as GitHub, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Docker. - Knowledge of optimizing service communication and designing scalable, secure distributed systems. - Passion for agile methodologies, automation, and DevOps principles, with a focus on high availability and scalability. - Experience working with AI tools, delegating tasks, and ensuring reliable outcomes through validation and iterative development. - Flexibility and willingness to travel within Germany to support client projects and consultations. - Fluent in both German and English, with excellent communication skills. Responsibilities - Design and develop cloud infrastructure and systems, actively shaping our cloud platform and services. - Lead the technical architecture of distributed systems, ensuring compliance with customer and security requirements. - Optimize system performance, security, and stability, integrating components into cohesive cloud services. - Take end-to-end responsibility for developed services—from coding in Go to deployment and ongoing operation. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions and improve existing systems. - Drive automation initiatives, streamline workflows, and implement DevOps best practices. - Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. - Engage with clients directly to understand their needs, provide expert advice, and deliver tailored cloud solutions.
