Role: Enterprise Architecture Manager Location: London, Manchester or Edinburgh Mobility: Up to 100% Career Level: Manager (ML7) Industry Technology Strategy & Architecture (ITSA) About ITSA Industry Technology Strategy & Architecture leads at the intersection of business and technology, driving maximum client value through the exploitation of AI, technology and data. We serve as the primary architect of our clients' industry-relevant technology estate, defining future-state visions, building the business case for change, and designing the enterprise architecture that turns ambition into an executable roadmap. Our work spans four solution areas: Business Technology Strategy, Technology Visioning / Future Tech & Innovation, Enterprise & Technology AI & Data Strategy, and Industry Enterprise Architecture. Across all of them we deliver measurable outcomes: full traceability between business priorities and technology investment, stronger investment alignment and prioritization, reduced architectural complexity and duplication, and faster identification of AI, data and digital opportunities. Your Responsibilities - Own architecture workstreams and delivery within enterprise architecture engagements, shaping scope, mobilising teams, managing plans, risks, issues, client expectations and project commercials, and setting out clear implications, options and trade-offs. - Assess how business strategy and industry trends drive the need for change across organisation, applications, data, infrastructure and operations. - Define and co-create the enterprise architecture vision, target-state architecture and multi-year roadmaps, aligned to business objectives. - Drive modernisation for the AI/intelligence era through application rationalisation and consolidation that reduces complexity and duplication. - Build value cases and investment justifications aligned to client planning cycles, identifying levers such as cost reduction, technical-debt treatment and platform consolidation. - Guide and conclude key architectural decisions across business, technology and third-party stakeholders in multi-vendor ecosystems. - Apply and help mature enterprise architecture governance, frameworks and standards, including IT governance. - Define enterprise data and AI platform, integration and automation strategies, including AI-enabled and agentic architectures, and create reusable assets, blueprints and accelerators. - Build and sustain strong client relationships, including with senior stakeholders such as the Head of Enterprise Architecture, CTO and CIO. - Support senior leadership in sales and origination by identifying and qualifying opportunities, shaping proposals and statements of work, and matching client needs to relevant Accenture offerings. - Lead medium-to-large teams or work efforts, setting clear objectives and standards, coordinating and delegating work, and building an effective, positive team environment. - Coach, mentor and develop team members through regular feedback and formal performance responsibilities, addressing development needs and contributing to hiring, staffing and resourcing decisions. - Own the quality of documents, presentations, architecture outputs and other deliverables produced by the team, ensuring they are rigorous, coherent and ready to be presented to C-suite and executive-level audiences. - Contribute to the growth and effective operation of the Accenture practice and ITSA by leading capability-building and community initiatives, supporting recruitment, sharing knowledge, developing reusable assets and thought leadership, and meeting internal business obligations. Core Capabilities We are looking for the following skills and experience - High-level thinking: pursue innovative approaches, synthesise complex information to surface trends and root causes, and stay effective amid ambiguity while keeping the bigger picture and client value in view. - Execution: plan and prioritise to high standards, apply structured processes and quality reviews, and manage scope, cost and risk while working ethically and protecting data. - Collaboration: build trusted, inclusive relationships and share knowledge across teams and clients, drawing on diverse perspectives to reach aligned outcomes. - Communication: make complex ideas clear and audience-appropriate, surface risks constructively, and develop and deliver a compelling vision of the value created. - Learning and development: model continuous learning and curiosity, coach and develop others through honest feedback, and evaluate outcomes to drive improvement. Enterprise Architecture Skills - Deep expertise across enterprise architecture strategy, enterprise architecture modelling and planning, architecture governance and architecture frameworks. - Strong command of TOGAF or an equivalent framework, together with IT governance and IT service management principles. - A track record of assessing and architecting enterprise-level solutions and IT portfolios end to end. - Deep capability in application architecture design, application strategy, solution architecture, technology architecture assessment, blueprint and roadmap definition, and IT capability assessment. Experience - 5+ years of relevant experience, including leading enterprise architecture engagements or programmes and establishing architecture governance. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent; a postgraduate qualification or advanced architecture certification, such as TOGAF Certified, is advantageous. Set yourself apart We're very interested in hearing from you if you have some or all of the following. - A track record of setting up or running an Enterprise Architecture function or office. - Experience leading complex modernisation or AI-era transformation programmes. - Professional-level cloud or platform architecture certifications (e.g. AWS, Azure or Google Cloud). - Fluency with EA tooling and modelling standards (e.g. ArchiMate, LeanIX, Ardoq). - Deep sector expertise in one or more industries. - Recognised thought leadership or an active presence in the architecture community. - An advanced degree such as an MBA or a relevant MSc. What’s In It For You At Accenture in addition to a competitive basic salary, you will also have an extensive benefits package, private medical insurance and 3 extra days leave per year for charitable work of your choice!
