Platform Cloud Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Platform Cloud Engineer to join our team in Kraków, Poland. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, cloud governance, Kubernetes, and FinOps, with a strong focus on cloud cost optimisation. 🔹 Key Responsibilities - Identify and implement cloud logging and storage cost optimisation opportunities. - Automate cost optimisation using Terraform, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD pipelines. - Analyse cloud logging and storage usage to identify cost drivers and potential savings. - Monitor cloud expenditure and implement automated controls to prevent cost regressions. - Maintain cloud governance policies, tagging standards, budgets, quotas, and retention policies. - Collaborate with platform and application teams to implement cost-saving initiatives. - Prepare cost optimisation reports, forecasts, and business cases for senior stakeholders. - Ensure compliance with enterprise security, risk, and governance requirements. 🔹 Required Skills - Cloud Platforms: Azure + GCP (including BigQuery) or Azure + AWS. - Azure: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Storage Accounts, Event Hub, Azure Policy, and Cost Management. - AWS: CloudWatch Logs, S3 Lifecycle, Cost Explorer, and Cost and Usage Reports (CUR). - GCP: Cloud Logging, BigQuery, Log Router/Sinks, and Billing Exports. - Infrastructure Automation: Terraform, Python, Bash, or policy-as-code. - CI/CD: GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps. - Containers: Hands-on Kubernetes experience. - Programming: Python or Java. - Knowledge of FinOps principles, cloud cost governance, logging, monitoring, and observability architecture. - Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills. 🔹 Nice to Have - AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications. - FinOps Foundation certification. - Experience working in financial institutions.
